BE YOUR OWN DENTIST! HERE ARE TRICKS TO REMOVE TARTAR BUILDUP AT HOME

One of the most effective ways to remove tartar is a visit to a dentist, but that is quite expensive and not all people can afford it. There is another way is to remove tartar and you can perform it in your home.

In order to remove tartar, you will need:

  • Baking soda
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Antiseptic mouthwash
  • Toothbrush
  • Cup
  • Dental pick

The baking soda is the most efficient tool for removing plaque.

Step 1:

The first step is to take the cup and mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a ½ teaspoon of salt. After that wet the toothbrush with warm water and dip it into the resulted mixture. Scrub your teeth with it and spit and do the same process about 5 minutes.

Step 2:

Combine a cup full with hydrogen peroxide and ½ cup of warm water and rinse your mouth for 1 minute. After that, spit and rinse with a ½ cup of cool water.

Step 3:

Take the dental pick and rub the yellow tartar from teeth. You should be very careful not to scrape the gums as that may irritate and damage them.

Step 4:

Finally, rinse your mouth with an antiseptic mouthwash. In order to achieve best results repeat this procedure every second day

Both tomatoes and strawberries are abundant with vitamin C which is excellent for oral health. Simply rub these fruits directly on your teeth and leave it to sit about 5 minutes. In this way, the tartar build-up will soften. Next step is to rinse your mouth with the mixture of baking soda and warm water.

You can perform this procedure with other food that contains vitamin C, such as bell peppers, berries, lemons, lime, oranges, and papaya.

Cheese

By consuming Swiss or Cheddar cheese before your meals you will neutralize the acids that involve plaque creation. Namely, an ingredient in aged cheese works as a barrier agent.

It is advisable to include these tips to your oral health routine:

  • Brush your teeth on regular basis. Utilize soft brush and make vertical movements. Don’t forget the space between gums and teeth.
  • Floss regularly.
  • Be aware that consuming spicy food stimulates the salivary glands. In that way, the saliva cleans mouth in a natural way.
  • Before going to bed rub orange peel on your teeth and don’t rinse your mouth. This will fight bacteria.
